I had actually originally set out to redraw Shima up for a profile, just, I ended up being cleaner with the lines then I had originally thought I would, so I decided to share them! It's been so long since I got to submit something to the #color-me-club, so I thought I'd change that with my new style. <3 I think I'm finally happy with her skirt too, it's still girly, but it's more on the side of cutesy, to me anyways, but it keeps the silky/flowy feeling I wanted for her wardrobe! I've been practicing drawing shoes lately too, so I think I've finally achieved keeping them from all looking the same, yay for the little achievements! Finally finding a way to draw her curly hair that I like as well. I find these curls look more like clouds, which is what I wanted for Shima. A head in the clouds look /cornyjokeiscorny
Slowly getting her anatomy down too! Chubby, cutesy Shima and her hiiipppppsss. <3 I'm still a sucker for over the shoulder looks too. SORRY. ~~Not sorry really.~~

I'm glad too~ I was finding that how I was drawing her was good, and looked pretty, but, I don't know, it just didn't feel like the right Shima to me. I'm still struggling to find that balance between cutesy and pretty, I think, and getting her body shape right is always just enough of a challenge to get me to re-think what I know about proportions and anatomy, and I really like that about her. It's so weird how Shima always finds a way to challenge me to make my art grow, haha. <3
